In an effort to enhance the performance of our network, an upgrade to the telephone switch will take place on Thursday, February 25, 2016, between 10:00 PM and 2:00 AM.
This upgrade could possibly affect dial tone throughout the BIT Cooperative Telephone Network. Should you lose dial tone, it should not be but a few minutes before it is restored.
We will have a technician on call. Please call the after hours number (434-636-4357) if assistance is needed.

Unfortunately, beyond our control, a phone cable has been cut on Barker Rd in Ebony that is affecting services in this area. BIT Technicians are aware and are diligently working on getting the cable repaired and services restored.

BIT Technicians have completed the repairs to the cut phone cable located on Barker Road in Ebony. All services in the area have been restored. Should you still have an outage of services please contact a CSR.

BIT’s Wildfire (formally Bonfire) service is going through a transition.

In an effort to enhance the performance of our network, BIT will be testing equipment on the Alberta Fixed Wireless tower between 12am-3am on March 30, 2016. This testing could possibly affect services in the Alberta area. Should you lose services, it may be necessary to reboot your antenna to restore service.

If assistance is needed, please call our after-hours Help Desk at 434-636-4357 or call the business office during business hours at 434-636-2274.We will have a technician on call.
